About
About Me:
Relocated to Bangalore from California with hub and kids in Oct ‘06. When I started blogging on blogger, I started out blogging our return to India (R2I) experiences. And soon, I realized that it was useful to a lot of people who were in the process of moving/considering a move/weighing their options etc. So I moved to my own site here, and I put all the r2I relevant topics under http://r2blore.chitra-aiyer.com. And I have this home page to write about other things not related to r2I.
My husband and I are in the early to the mid thirties. We have 2 young children - in kindergarten and pre-kindergarten. Because of the children, I have had many opportunities to interact with a lot of other parents and well, mostly the talk revolves around the children, their activities, and schools. So, one of the other things that I try to cover under http://r2blore.chitra-aiyer.com is also about the schools in Bangalore. And when I write about schools, I write either from first hand experience or after talking to parents who have their children in the said schools. This is primarily to help out other parents who are trying to look up information about the schools they are considering.
I also write about topics that the readers ask me info on. So, if there is anything that you want to know, especially about living/moving to Bangalore, working in Bangalore, or schools in Bangalore, feel free to email me at chitra [_] aiyer @ yahoo [.] com .

Hi Sri, welcome to my blog. I use Canon’s 400D camera. I use photoshop for processing my images. I hope the info helps.
Rajdatta, anything you want to ask?
Thanks for your detailed r2i experience.
I’m planning R2I after being in US for 12 years. Can you suggest if it is worth carrying small kitchen appliances from US to India. i.e. toaster oven, Sumeet 110V mixer (bought at Kumud in Sunnyvale), kitchenaid food processor, braun hand blender. Not sue if get all these high quality things in India for reasonable price.
Apreciate your response.
Thanks.
Hi Chitra,
I checked your pics, fantastic ones, i liked everyone…of pics you posted….
Moreover i need one help could you.
You are using your name in all pics, just i want to know how to do that in photoshop could you please explain me.
Thanks & Regards,
J.Sriram
vgmonika, welcome to my blog. You do get the said appliances here in India. I am not sure how they would compare prise-wise against the ones available in the US. My suggestion would be that if you enough space in your shipping container, then you can ship them over. However, the one issue about getting appliances from the US would be the voltage difference and of course the service concerns. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Sriram, thank you very much for your kind words. I type the name out on Adobe’s photoshop using the ‘add text’ feature.
Nice Blog. Stumbled at random.
Thank you now i got and i able make out with adobe..
